VoxPairAI listens only while a participant holds a talk zone. Audio capture stops before translated speech plays. Source audio is processed on the iPhone for speech recognition. A cloud Pipeline turn may stream audio through the KarmaPower relay only to measure its duration; the relay discards those audio bytes and sends the resulting transcript text, not the microphone audio, to the translation provider. After the in-app cloud disclosure, the locally generated source transcript is processed by Google Cloud Translation and the translated text is processed by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Google documents Translation input as held briefly in memory for the request and states that Cloud Text-to-Speech does not log customer text or audio data.
KarmaPower does not persist conversation audio, translated audio, source transcripts or translated transcript bodies. The current-conversation transcript and replay audio remain only in app memory and disappear when the app process ends unless the user explicitly exports transcript text through the iOS share sheet.
The service stores an opaque installation identifier, an optional Sign in with Apple subject, App Attest status, StoreKit transaction identifiers and hashes, subscription or minute-pack entitlement records, metered-duration quota ledgers, timestamps, app version, language codes, region, error codes and limited security/request metadata. These data enable authentication, paid-balance recovery, fraud prevention, reliable operation and legally required accounting.
Conversation content is excluded from application logs. Operational and entitlement records are retained while needed to provide the service; legally required purchase, fraud-prevention and accounting records may be kept in minimized form after account deletion.
VoxPairAI includes Meta App Events for limited acquisition and product measurement. It may process a device identifier, app-interaction events and limited diagnostic data for analytics and advertising measurement. It never receives conversation audio, transcript text, a selected language pair, Apple relay email or contact details. Tracking permission is optional and denying it never limits translation or purchases.
You can revoke cloud-processing consent and review the optional tracking choice in Settings. If you create an Apple-linked account for paid minute recovery, Settings also provides permanent in-app account deletion. Deletion removes the Apple sign-in link and account access; required accounting and security records remain only in minimized form. Current processors include Google Cloud for hosting, ephemeral translation and speech synthesis; Apple for StoreKit, Sign in with Apple and App Attest; and Meta for the limited measurement described above. Processing may occur outside your country under the provider's applicable contractual safeguards.
VoxPairAI is a general-audience translation tool and is not designed to create profiles of children. Material changes to these practices will be reflected on this page and in App Store privacy disclosures.
